Oklahoma City Weekend

This past weekend I had to travel up to Oklahoma City for The Girlie Show. The show was great! They hold it in this beautiful old Farmers Market building. The crowd was super fun. Friday night was a crazy party atmosphere with loud pumping music and a huge crowd dressed to the nines. Saturday was a more mellow shopping crowd with local singer songwriters playing some great music. I met lots of really nice folks and learned that Oklahoma City is quite a vibrant city full of interesting people!

Most of the time I do shows on my own but this time I drug James along with me so that we could make a fun weekend out of it. It was late on Friday when I got out of the show so we had dinner in a college bar called Flips and did some fun people watching. On Saturday night, after the show ended, we had a fancy dinner at Paseo Grill.

On Sunday we had breakfast at a great little place called Classen Grill. I took a day off and relaxed around the hotel room with James. We caught up on some movies, Wall-e and Vicky Cristina Barcelona, and did some reading.

In the evening we ventured toward downtown and walked around the Oklahoma City National Memorial and took pictures. We had dinner at Iguana Grill. On Monday I visited stores before we headed home. On the way home we drove through torrential rain storms and had to pull off the road to wait it out at one point. It was such a nice weekend with my man.

It's a very busy time of year for me and my business. I have 7 shows in the span of 6 weeks! Then I am headed off to Spain for 21 days of relaxing and sightseeing! We are planning to stay in Madrid and travel to Barcelona and Granada. Travel suggestions are welcome!
