Last week, along with making lots of new one-of-a-kind jewelry, I put in quite a few hours helping out with the Parts + Labour move. Parts + Labour, in case you don't know, has become an Austin institution in the 5 years that they have been in business. Everything this store carries is made by a Texas designer! Having outgrown their original store next to South Congress Cafe, they have moved to a bigger location up the street next to Doc's restaurant. If you are in Austin, you should really check out the new space!
This move happened within the span of one week thanks to all the vendors in the store pitching in to help with packing, moving and stocking the new space. It's so nice to be a part of such an amazing and giving community of artists. The space will continue to evolve over the next few months as they settle in. Right now all of the jewelry is displayed together on big tables but eventually, we'll all have our separate shelf spaces again just like in the old store. Please support Texas artists at Parts and Labour!!
